K. Dixon Architecture PLLC (KDA) provides professional architecture, design, planning, engineering, feasibility  studies, interior design, design-build, and project  management services. Founded in  2003, the firm has experience with a wide range of building types including commercial, healthcare, science and technology, education, government,  multi-family residential, and institutional.

KDA is a women-owned, minority-owned firm serving public and private clients. We provide  exceptional service which exceeds the client’s needs. We base our philosophy on the  idea that  “form follows  function” and the ability to provide high design on any budget. High performance and green building  technologies are promoted and inherently included in our designs.

LEADERSHIP

Kathy Dixon FAIA, NOMAC, NCARB, CDT, LEED AP, Principal, has developed expertise in a wide range of projects in her 30 years of experience.  Her certifications include USGBC's Leadership in Energy and Environment Design Program (LEED AP), the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), as well as CSI's Certified Documents Technologist (CDT) program.  She is licensed to practice in Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and New Jersey.  In addition to her practice, Kathy serves her community as a mentor to young women and minorities in the field of architecture.

KY Chung, AIA, NCARB, Principal, has more than 35 years of experience in the international and Federal government space, and institutional projects including healthcare. He is licensed to practice in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
